The deep-green mountains of the Baracoa region rise up in the eastern end of the island of Cuba where the Atlantic and the Caribbean Sea meet. Cocoa has been cultivated here for over 300 years; a fantastically tangy and at the same time extremely fine variety with the noble name of Trinitario. The cocoa farmers pick the fruits, let them ferment in wooden crates and dry in the sun. Then their mules bring the cocoa away, down to the sea where it is loaded into ships.

Exquisite cocoa from Baracao is used to make the rarity “CUBA – auténtica colección”, exclusive to Confiserie Sprüngli.

    Indulgence for all the senses

    Social engagement is an important pillar of Confiserie Sprüngli. We have a real heart for the people and culture of the country of origin of our Cuban cocoa. In partnership with the children’s aid organisation Camaquito, we support the Cuban Ballet de Camagüey. This sponsorship enables the outstanding, passionate dancers from Cuba to stage the ballet “Carmen” in Winterthur in January 2018.

    Exclusive pre-premiere for Petits Plaisirs members

    Confiserie Sprüngli extends an invitation to its Petits Plaisirs members to the exclusive pre-premiere of the “Carmen” Ballet, which will take place as a private performance at Theater Winterthur on 10 January 2018.

    Log in to your Petits Plaisirs account and send an e-mail with the subject “Ballet Carmen” to petitsplaisirsspruengli.ch, to win exclusive tickets for the performance on Wednesday, 10 January 2018, 7.00pm. The number of tickets is limited. Registrations will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until 15 December 2017.
